Every cruise is more than a journey - it's memories that last long after you step ashore. Our participants share their stories, emotions and moments that are hard to put into words... but which we try to capture right here.
I thought it would just be a holiday. It was a journey that cleared my soul. Every sunrise on deck reminded me that you can live slower and deeper.
Anna
Norway, tourist cruise
After 30 years I was at the helm again. Watch at four in the morning, shared meals in the mess, cold wind, the crew's laughter - I felt like in the old days. Cruise Tall Ships helped me find a voyage I would never have found on my own.
Marek Kowalski
training cruise in the North Sea
I didn't know anyone when I boarded. After a week I had a family that can't be replaced. It wasn't just a cruise - it was the adventure of a lifetime together.
Julia Nowak
expedition to Greenland

Since 1914, the Panama Canal has linked the Atlantic to the Pacific. This technological marvel of locks and canals also comprises two artificial lakes. The Gatúnsee, one of the world's largest dammed lakes, has now regained a unique range of flora and fauna. In fact, nature has reclaimed the lake for itself, with the rainforest sprawling over its banks. The former hills are now islands on which an astonishing variety of species has formed, due to its isolation. The largest island, Barro Colorado, is completely untouched and has been a nature reserve since 1923. Scientists from all over the world come here to try and discover the jungle's last secrets.
To live like Robinson Crusoe, on a remote island without any civilizing frills, but with a palm beach and coconuts for breakfast – who hasn't dreamt of that before? The San Blas Islands off the coast of Panama come pretty close to this idea of a Caribbean paradise. Here life is beautifully simple – and simply beautiful. The approximately 370 coral islands, which can be explored from the main island Porvenir, are inhabited by the Kuna. The indigenous people only allow tourism in moderation and have preserved much of their ancient culture and religion.
Enjoy fitness, a massage or sun and sea with a good book in the deck chair. This day beneath full sails gives you all the options for your perfect personal wellness program.
The Bocas del Toro Archipelago in northwestern Panama comprises six large and numerous tiny islands. The Bastimentos Island National Marine Park is the first marine reserve in Panama and was created in 1988. Whether you visit Isla Bastimentos or Cayos Zapatillas, between mangroves and snow white palm beaches, you will find a rich variety of species swimming around in the water. It is a paradise for marine turtles, and even dolphins pay a visit from time to time in the crystal-clear waters. In the unspoiled coral reef you can see a unique underwater world with colorful shoals of fish, sponges and starfish.
In gaining its independence, San Jose very quickly transformed from a mountain village into the busy modern capital city of a young, optimistic country. The Central Valley is over 5,000 feet above sea level in a picturesque setting surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. The mild, unchanging climate and the fertile volcanic soil have brought wealth and prosperity, primarily through the cultivation of coffee. Around 100 miles to the east, on the Caribbean coast, lies the harbor town of Puerto Limón which was founded in 1870.
French Key in the Islas de Bahías is a tropical gem with crystal-clear waters and lush vegetation. This small island attracts snorkelers and divers eager to explore its diverse underwater world. Visitors can also go kayaking, relax in the sun, or stroll along the white sandy beaches. French Key offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere, ideal for both relaxation and adventure. Its natural beauty and rich marine life make it an unforgettable destination.
Belize City is the country's largest town, main port, and its economic and cultural center, although it has not been the capital since 1975. Belize is situated in the southeast of the Yucatán peninsula and was part of the Mayan Empire, which left behind a rich legacy here. The ruined city of Altun Ha is one of Belize's best-preserved and most accessible Mayan cities. Lamanai, which lies on the banks of an inland lagoon, has been a settlement for 3,000 years. Excavations have shown that more than 20,000 people lived here in 700 AD.
The Belize Barrier Reef is a 160-mile-long series of coral reefs made up of numerous small coral islands. It is the second largest in the world after Australia's Great Barrier Reef. In Lighthouse Reef Atoll you will discover a very unusual natural wonder: the Great Blue Hole. It was formed during the last ice age and this circular recess in the ocean floor with a diameter of over 950 feet is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Almost any pirate who was anyone dropped anchor here. Nowadays it's filled with people wanting to escape the stresses of daily life under palm trees or in the rich underwater world. Cozumel, the largest island in Mexico, lies only a few knots away from the Yucatan peninsula. The advanced Mayan civilization in Central America, which began around 5,000 years ago and reached its final stages at the time of the Spanish conquest, still poses questions today. Their ceremonies appear mysterious, their stepped pyramids impressive and their stone carvings extremely skilled. As far as we know, Tulum is the only Mayan settlement which was established on the coast.
