<p>Explore the Suffolk coast while learning to sail aboard our lovely old lady, Excelsior. Lowestoft has a rich history in the fishing and boat-building industries, while Ipswich was a significant trading port and still has the architecture to match. Join the crew to sail close to the wind turbines and take in their vast scale, admire the nationally important and protected landscape, be among the small leisure craft, and enjoy a truly panoramic view of the famous coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold for a picturesque vista in every direction. In a short stretch, there's a lot to see, so bring your binoculars!</p><p>Head into coves and interesting bays as you take the slow route to Ipswich and discover the beauty and wildlife in and around this region. The River Orwell is an almost perfect location for birdwatchers and those who like to admire the Suffolk landscape.</p><p></p><p>You should plan to be in Lowestoft, either Heritage Quay, South Pier, or Excelsior Yard, Harbour Road by 10am on Friday, and we'll be in Ipswich Beacon Marina around 4pm on Sunday.</p><p></p><p>With all our trips, we reserve the right to cancel no later than 10 days in advance if we are unable to fill enough berths.
