STV Pathfinder is a steel-hulled brigantine built in Kingston, Ontario, laid down in 1962 and commissioned in 1964 - the original ship of Brigs Youth Sail Training (then Toronto Brigantine Inc.), founded after its members were inspired by a documentary about Norway's sail training ship Christian Radich. She served continuously as a training vessel until 2017. After a period out of service, she returned to sail training under a temporary charter in 2022, and was formally reacquired by Brigs in 2025 through a collaboration with Breakwater Investments, the McKeil Family Foundation, and the Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority. Like her sister ship TS Playfair, she carries teenage trainees aged 13–18 who make up most of the crew, sailing the Great Lakes each summer.
