La Grace
La Grace is an authentic replica of an 18th-century brig, built by hand between 2008 and 2010 by Czech and Slovak volunteers at a traditional shipyard in Suez, Egypt. Her design follows 1768 blueprints by Swedish naval architect Fredrik Henrik af Chapman, and she's named after the original privateer ship of 17th-century Czech sea captain Augustin Heřman. Now based out of Prague, La Grace sails the Mediterranean and beyond, offering both public sail-training cruises and full-ship private charters, carrying up to 37 people between crew, cadets, and guests. She's a genuine offshore-capable tall ship - she's raced (and won her class) in the Mediterranean Tall Ships Regatta, and survived a serious grounding and salvage operation off Spain in 2012.
