Kapitan Głowacki
Kapitan Głowacki is Poland's smallest full-ocean square-rigged tall ship, built on the hull of a 1944 German wartime fishing cutter (Kriegsfischkutter) salvaged near Świnoujście. Rebuilt as a training ketch in 1950–51, she served under several names and owners - including the Iron Shackle Brotherhood - before a 1986 rebuild converted her into a brigantine and made her flagship of the Polish Sailing Association (PZŻ). She's carried her current name since 1997, honoring Polish sailing figure Włodzimierz Głowacki. Her best-known moment came in 2014, when - considered slow and not built for racing - she unexpectedly won both her class and the overall Tall Ships' Races title from Harlingen to Esbjerg. Sold in 2020 to the company 3Oceans, she underwent a multi-million-złoty restoration, gaining a fourth yard, a mahogany wheelhouse, a wooden deck, and 11 reconfigured cabins, returning to active service in 2025 from her home port of Puck.
