Denis Sullivan
Denis Sullivan is a three-masted, wooden gaff-rigged schooner built in 2000 in Milwaukee - the only existing replica of a 19th-century Great Lakes schooner, constructed almost entirely by volunteer labor after being proposed in 1989. She served as the official flagship of Wisconsin and the UN Environment Programme for over two decades under Discovery World. In September 2022, she was sold to World Ocean School and sailed via the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway to a new home in Boston, joining sister ship Roseway as an educational platform. She now runs live-aboard student voyages (up to 18 students) along the New England coast, plus public harbor sails and private charters from Boston and, in winter, St. Croix - including a scheduled appearance at Sail Boston 2026.
