Bryza H
Bryza H began life in 1952 as the rescue cutter Bryza, built in Puck for the Polish Ship Salvage service (Polskie Ratownictwo Okrętowe), serving until 1983. Rescued from years of neglect by Gdańsk lawyer Waldemar Heisler, she underwent a 16-year owner-led rebuild into a gaff ketch, finally relaunching around 2000 with her nearly indestructible rescue-cutter hull intact - one of the few Polish sailing vessels built from wood. Based in Gdańsk, she's a familiar face at Baltic maritime festivals like Hanse Sail Rostock and Baltic Sail, carrying up to 14 people on multi-day sea voyages or double that on day trips. Trips tend to be organized informally - guests act as working crew, splitting costs for food and portage, and typically need to bring their own sleeping bags.
