Aglaia
Aglaia is a gaff-rigged ketch built in 1977, based on the Colin Archer "Redningskøyte" - the classic Norwegian rescue-ketch design known for its seaworthiness. Operated by the German nonprofit Sail Aglaia e.V. out of Hamburg, she sails the Baltic, Skagerrak/Kattegat, and North Sea as a sail training vessel, carrying up to 8 trainees and a crew of 4. Rather than luxury charters, she focuses on hands-on seamanship - teaching traditional gaff-rig handling and crew teamwork. She's a regular at classic-sailing gatherings like Flensburg's RumRegatta.
